Permabond® MH196 Anaerobic Gasket Maker 75ml

Permabond® MH196 "Gasketmaker" is a medium strength high viscosity, high temperature resistant anaerobic adhesive resin which provides a rigid flange sealant which can replace all sizes of gaskets. Can also be used as a dressing for conventional pre-cut gaskets.

The thixotropic non-drip property of MH196 prevents migration of the sealant before and during cure and allows the resin to conform to the shape of the flange. The consistency allows metal to metal contact of the flanges and it will fill the areas where no contact exists because of surface irregularities. MH196 results in uniform stress distribution and eliminates the need for re-torqueing later.

MH196 provides an instant low pressure seal depending on gap and flange widths and it will provide a good high pressure seal up to 5000 psi / 355 bar. MH196 is ideally suited for applications requiring high temperature resistance. Because of the flexible nature of the cured polymer, MH196 has good vibration and shock resistance and it does not creep nor shrink. MH196 also provides easy assembly and dis-assembly.

MH196 will withstand temperatures from -55 to +200° C.
